I Believe...

I Believe....
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you, every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe.....
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.

Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
That will give you heartache for life.

I Believe....
That it's taking me a long time
To become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with Loving words.

It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe....
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe....
That we are responsible for what
We do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe....
That heroes are the people
who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,

regardless of the consequences.

I Believe....
That my best friend and I

can do anything or nothing
and have the best time.. .

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry, but that
doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough,
to be forgiven by others.

Sometimes, you have to learn
to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken,

the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe....
That our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are, but,
we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
Thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
When a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...
 'The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything they have.

Las Mangas fishing village outside San Carlos

Just past the high rise hotels, the paved road ends and suddenly you are bouncing down a dirt road full of pot holes, rocks, ruts and dust.  The desert becomes more sparse and the harshness of it much more apparent.  We found ourselves driving into a very rustic fishing village, passing shacks that represent homes and colorful laundry hanging out to dry in the breeze.  We knew that at the end of the village is a great little restaurant -- name unknown – that serves amazing food.

We sat outside under a tin roof at a picnic table with Izzie, our dog, and find ourselves being served some of the most delicious sea food imaginable.  Our favorite dish is a soup with fish, shrimp, octopus and veggies served bubbling and boiling hot in a lava pot with three legs called a molcajete.

While we ate this amazing dish, we threw chips or crackers to the birds and seagulls.  We could look across the bay to the other side of life to the larger hotels.  We watched the fishermen gather up their day’s catch and bring it in to shore with a sea lion following behind hoping for part of the day’s catch.  We also watched with amusement the Pelicans nose dive in for “their” dinner of the day.    All the while, the sun is keeping us warm and a gentle breeze brings us all the smells of the sea.

This is our idea of a perfect Sunday afternoon!!

Trust Should Come First, Not Last

God’s promise to Jacob:  “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land.  For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.  Genesis 28:15

When you know the will of God, you must ask yourself whether your behavior is the behavior of a person who is counting on God’s faithfulness and power or are you trying to add some personal insurance of your own?

So, now I finally get it ~~ God wants my wholehearted trust!  The whole point about a relationship with God is not about what I want or gain in personal safety or material prosperity, but in fellowship and peace of mind.  I can be perfectly safe or have it my way and yet experience no peace.

Faith is an attitude of will that says, “whether I feel that God is there or not, whether I feel he will listen to me or not, his Word tells me he hears and answers, and I am going to count on that.

So, TRUST should come first not last.  I need to understand that there is no limit to what God will do, no desperation He will withhold to teach me this basic lesson in prayer:  I am helpless, and I have no hope except in Him.

Christmas Love

Need I say more??
Look at those sweet innocent faces and and know you
are looking into faces of true love ~~

As we Journey

I always wanted to be an “Artist”; however, painting just was not my talent. In spite of this, photography has always been a passion of mine.
Once I discovered that you can imprint part of yourself into the photo with the technology of the computer, I realized that I CAN be an artist, just in a different way. Therefore, the process of creating art with my photos is immeasurably exciting for me!!
What you are seeing today, with the exception of a couple of photos, is where my journey has taken me. I am now in the process of stepping back into my life “before” and have new “old” photos that are treasures waiting to be unearthed. So, keep posted, because I will be taking a trip back to the beginning of my journey and you just never know what is waiting behind the curtain!
I hope you enjoy each piece of art for what it offers ~~ as this presents endless roads of personal travel that differs for each of us. As each print is a part of my personal journey, please travel with me!!
